In South Africa AIDS unfortunately remains a big problem. Many children have lost their parents thru this disease and are therefore raised by their grandparents or other group members of their tribe.

To provide for their basic needs as well as the 28 orphaned children, the elder members of the community produce handmade and unique high quality chains for eyeglasses.

The project is called “Masechaba” which means in Sesotho “Mother of the People“.
